Theoretical and application challenges of contemporary socio-economic geography is a monograph published in 2018 as part of the series of Studies of the Committee for Spatial Economy and Regional Planning, Polish Academy of Sciences (vol. 183). The publication contains the papers of recognised Polish authorities in the field of socio-economic research, systematising the main theoretical and application challenges of contemporary socio-economic geography. The monograph was prepared for the Jubilee of the 80th birthday of Prof. Dr hab. Teresa Czyż, an outstanding Polish socio-economic geographer, co-founder of the Poznań methodological school, an inspirer of many new trends and methodological approaches, and the author of numerous works that provided the foundation for the Polish regional research. "Quaestiones Geographicae", one of leading Polish geographical journals, has been published by the Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań since 1974.
