Thank you for subscribing to our newsletter! We are pleased to present the first edition of the newsletter of the Institute of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
The Institute of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management (IGSEiGP) was established in 1984. It is an organisational unit of the Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The Institute is engaged in scientific research and teaching activity. It has a staff of 66, including 17 professors and assistant professors (habilitated doctors) and 29 doctors representing various specialities. They are supervisors of 18 PhD students. The Institute cooperates with many academic centres at home and abroad (e.g. in Amsterdam, Barnaul, Berlin, Bratislava, Dortmund, Irkutsk, Moscow, Kiel, Leipzig, Tbilisi, Erkner and Vilnius).

Since 2013 our Institute also offers education at post-graduate studies “Cultural industries in the policy of urban and regional development” – project financed from ESF as part of the Operational Programme Human Capital.

In 2018 the Institute opened a unique course of engineering studies “Integrated Development Planning”. Its programme and pilot programme have been drawn up and implemented thanks to the support of the European Social Fund under the Operational Program Knowledge-Education-Development.
