The employees of the Institute of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management have become a part of the research network RE-CITY: Reviving shrinking cities – innovative paths and perspectives towards livability for shrinking cities in Europe. The project will be carried out by scientists from Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, France, England, Luxembourg, Poland, USA, Mexico and Japan. The coordinator of the project is Prof. Karina Pallagst (Technische Universitaet Kaiserslautern, Germany), project participants from the Instutiute are: Prof. Tadeusz Stryjakiewicz, Prof. Krzysztof Stachowiak, Dr Emilia Jaroszewska and Dr Bartłomiej Kołsut. The project is funded by the European Commission under the “Horizon 2020” Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Innovative Training Network (MSCA-ITN), in the amount of EUR 3.3 million.
