The project “Socially sustainable transport policy and its implications for major Polish cities” received funding from the National Science Centre of Poland as part of the OPUS 14 call. It will be implemented by two researchers from our Institute: Dr Adam Radzimski in the role of principal investigator and Dr Jędrzej Gadziński. The project aims to contribute to an emerging international research trend focusing on inequalities in urban transport, questioning the process in which the benefits of urban transport are equally distributed. Researchers will seek to find out what kind of differences exist in access to infrastructure and transport services among various social groups, and what actions could be taken to cope with the negative consequences of inequality in urban transport.
