In the past months we have been visited by distinguished researchers from Poland and other countries, who shared with us the highlights of their research. In March, Dr Tomasz Rachwał from the Pedagogical University of Cracow delivered a presentation on “Changes in the spatial and sectoral structure of industry in Poland”. In April, Dr Leighton Evans from Swansea University gave a lecture entitled “Social Gazetteers, Locative Media and Finding Place” and “Worldhood, Worlds and Virtual Reality”. Also in April, Dr Piotr Lityński from the Cracow University of Economics lectured on “Budgetary consequences of urban sprawl for municipal governments.” In May we hosted Dr Ferenc Gyuris from the University of Loránd Eötvös in Budapest, whose lecture was entitled “Has the global crisis redrawn the economic geography map of the globe?” In June prof. Juan José Ruiz-Lendínez from the University of Jaén presented the topic “Management of cadastral in Spain”. In October, the first guest of the Faculty in the 2019/2020 academic year was Prof. Guy Baudelle from Universite Rennes, who gave a lecture entitled “The Creative Class Theory Seen from France: a Critical Appraisal.” In addition, Karyn Reid, a visiting student,  gave a presentation about spatial planning in the USA.
