Our Faculty participates in a Horizon 2020 project “RE-CITY: Reviving shrinking cities – innovative paths and perspectives towards livability for shrinking cities in Europe”. David Huntington, who prepares a doctoral dissertation entitled “Actor constellations and institutional framework in shrinking cities”, began working on the project on 1 July 2019. David is a Canadian citizen who holds a bachelor degree in law (Carleton University in Ottawa) and a master’s degree in public policy and administration (Ryerson University in Toronto) and a master’s degree in effective use of resources in architecture and spatial planning (HafenCity Universität in Hamburg). Previously, he worked in the Canadian government administration and the administration of the States of Ontatio and Alberta dealing with issues of economic development, youth volunteering, alternative and renewable energy sources. His thesis will be supervised by prof. Krzysztof Stachowiak.
