The Faculty of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management AMU and the city of Poznań organised an open lecture, given by Prof. Andrés Rodríguez-Pose as part of the cycle Academic Poznań, entitled “The geography of EU discontent” combined with the discussion related to the topic “The revenge of the places that don’t matter”, which was held on December 3 in Collegium Geographicum. Professor Andrés Rodríguez-Pose from London School of Economics is one of the most recognisable and key personalities in the world related to economic geography and regionalistics. He is an author and a reviewer of numerous publications on socio-economic development. He was an editor of the journals Economic Geography, Environment and Planning C and the series Springer Briefs in Regional Science. He held the highest positions in the Regional Science Association International (RSAI) and the European Regional Science Association. Professor is a regular consultant to many international institutions, including the European Commission and the World Bank.
